The H.O.P.E. Mentoring Program is based in Midland and Isabella counties that matches caring and supportive adults with foster youth. We do same-gender matches based on skills, personality, location, and most importantly interest! These adults are there to listen, support, and encourage the youth as they learn how to become successful adults.

1. Fill out an application: this lets us get a feel for who you are and starts off the matching process (click here!)
2. Clear standard background checks: we do some standard background checks to ensure the safety of our young people
3. Interview with staff: this is a chance for us to get to know you, fill you in on what you're committing to with mentoring, and let's us get a sense of which of our youth would be the best fit for you
4. Attend a youth board meeting: this is the best way to meet our youth. Meetings are always held on the first and thrid Tuesdays of the month and are a lot of fun!
5. Complete Mentor Orientation: this orientation introduces you to our program and our policies and procedures, gives you stratagies on how to relate to our youth and some starter ideas on things you can do, and trains you on how to be mentor.
